We challenge you to experience Africa’s beautiful Mother City as never before, by running for Peace in the Sanlam Cape Town 10km Peace run. Join the global community of thousands of people in countries across the world, who traditionally come together to run 10km races to commemorate the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. 

5km Peace Run - Saturday 16 October 2021

Sanlam Cape Town Marathon’s high-spirited 5km Peace Run is a community-building event that opens the race track to all. It’s the opportunity for families and friends; business, school and other community groups to band together and enjoy being part of one of Africa’s most prestigious athletic events. The flat route circles the attractive green space of the Green Point Urban Park and Biodiversity Garden. The one hour cut-off time can accommodate walkers.

22km Cape Trail Run - Saturday 16 October 2021

Cape Town uniquely boasts the spectacular, natural mountain environment of the Table Mountain National Park within its central city limits. The 12km and 22km Sanlam Cape Town Peace Trail Runs allow you to rise above the urban environment and gloriously immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature as you take to the trails of Signal Hill and Lion’s Head. You will enjoy stunning city and iconic Table Mountain vistas from the slopes of Signal Hill, as well as breathtaking views over the sweeping Atlantic Ocean from the contour path on Lion’s Head before making the descent to finish at Green Point Stadium. Cut off is five hours.
