
- Winners will be notified via the specific channel where the competition is hosted. The promoter will take all reasonable steps to notify the 3 x winners, however, in the event that the promoter is unable to contact a winner(s) within 48 hours of selection, then a new winner(s) will be selected.
- Entry to the competition is only valid if the following criteria is met:
- Users must tag the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, Sanlam, Adida, Named and Woolworths in their post
- Users must use the #NotJustAMedal in their caption.
- Users must ensure their profile is on public and the post is viewable.
- All participants agree that Faces and the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon have the right to republish and reshare their content on our own digital platforms.
- The 3 selected winners will have to provide relevant details to Faces for the prizes to be redeemed.
- Entry to the promotional competition is free.
- Participants can only enter once.
- The promoter reserves the right to request such documents in order to verify the identity of the participant.
- Entries will be considered incomplete and thus disqualified if the participant does not provide all required information indicated under rule (2) including, but not limited to, name and surname, telephone number, email address and delivery address.
- The 3 x prize winners will be selected after the conclusion of the competition application period.
- Prize winners will be notified by Sanlam Cape Town Marathon using the appropriate personal details of the persons concerned which it has on record. Also, Sanlam Cape Town Marathon reserves the right to publish the name, surname, and/or photographs of the winners, and the winners consent to such publication.
- Prize(s) are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Depending on the nature of the prize, winners will have to collect it from the property at their own cost.
- By virtue of participation, participants consent to the promoter obtaining, processing and retaining their personal information (Protected Personal Information), which may include the involvement of the promoter’s third-party agent. Also, participants consent to the promoter retaining their personal information for as long as is necessary, for the legitimate business interests of the promoter and that the promoter may take reasonable steps to update or destroy such information.
- Participants accept that Sanlam Cape Town Marathon takes reasonable and practical steps to safeguard Protected Personal Information in its possession. In addition, it is possible for errors or malfunctions to occur. To the fullest extent permissible by law, participants hereby indemnify and hold harmless Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, its employees, and agents against any liability, damages, and/or legal action whatsoever and howsoever arising, including negligence on the part of Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, its employees, or agents. Sanlam Cape Town Marathon shall not accept liability for any damages or any type of loss suffered by participants who enter this promotional competition.
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters pertaining to the promotional competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event that the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon makes an indulgence or deviation of these terms and conditions in favour of participants, then such indulgence or deviation shall not be misconstrued to be a breach or waiver of these terms and conditions or any rights of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.
- The prize is a full adidas kit, a Sanlam Satrix investment account with R5,000 loaded, a R1,000 Woolworths voucher, free entry with VIP start line access, and a Named Sport nutrition hamper for one grand prize winner. Two runners-up will each receive a R1,000 Woolworths voucher, free entry with VIP start line access, a Named Sport nutrition hamper, and an adidas running visor. The prize is not transferable for cash and is not transferable to next year’s event.
- The prize does not include transport to or from the event, accommodation or for the delivery of the prize.
- The final announcement of the winners will take place on the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon Social Media channels.
- The competition starts on 4th August 2025 and ends on 30th August 2025. Any entries after the closing date will not be considered.
- The following persons are excluded from participation in the promotional competition:
- a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon or Faces or the promoter (any person who directly or indirectly promotes, sponsors, organisers or conducts a promotional competition, or for whose benefit the promotional competition is promoted, sponsored, organised or conducted);
- any supplier of goods or services in connection with the promotional competition;
- the spouse, life partner, business partner, tenant or associate, or the natural or adopted parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified above.
